- Cementation process at 875 to 925°C
Hardening (core) at 830 to 860°C, oil quenching
Hardening (surface) at 780 to 810°C, oil quenching
Tempering at 150 to 200°C.
Tempering for Jominy test at 880 ± 5°C - Carburize: 875-925°C; Harden core (oil quenching): 830-860°C; Harden case (oil quenching): 780-810°C; Temper: 150-200°C; Oil quenching: 850°C +/- 15°C; Temper: 200°C +/- 50°C.
