EN 10296-1: 2003 / Welded circular steel tubes for mechanical and general engineering purposes - Technical delivery conditions - Part 1: Non-alloy and alloy steel tubes

Heat Treatments

 • Welded and cold sized (+CR1) - Normally not heat treated, but suitable for final annealing. After annealing or normalizing, the resulting mechanical properties meet the requirements specified for the delivery condition +A or +N, respectively.
Welded and cold sized (+CR2) - Not intended for heat treatment after the welding and sizing. If further heat treatment is applied, the resulting mechanical properties may be outside the specified requirements.
 • Welded and cold sized (+CR1) - Normally not heat treated after welding and sizing, but suitable for final annealing or normalizing. After annealing or normalizing, the resulting mechanical properties do not necessarily have to meet the requirements specified for the delivery condition +A or +N.
Soft annealed (+A) - After welding and sizing the tubes are annealed in a controlled atmosphere.
Normalized (+N) - After welding and sizing the tubes are normalized in a controlled atmosphere.
