DIN 1.6759 Heat Treatments
- (+QT1) Normalizing or austenitizing from 900 to 980ºC and colling in air; tempering from 580 to 620ºC; (+QT2) Normalizing or austenitizing from 900 to 980ºC and colling in air; tempering from 590 to 630ºC.
- Quenching and tempering:
Strength level I: Austenitized at 900-980°C, quenched in fluid, tempered at 590-630°C
Strength level II: Austenitized at 900-980°C, quenched in fluid, tempered at 580-620°C
The temperature for the stress relief heat treatment should be at least 20°C, but at most 50°C below the applied tempering temperature of the casting
