DIN 1.6589 Heat Treatments
- Hardened at 830-860°C,quenched in oil or water
Tempered at 530-680°C
This temperature must be at least 30°C below the stress relief annealing temperature - Quenched and tempered - Hardened: 820 to 870°C, cooling in water or oil; Tempering: 550 to 640°C; Stress relieved: 450 to 500°C.
