DIN 1.6562 Heat Treatments
- Hardened at 840-870°C,quenched in oil or water
Tempered at 530-680°C
This temperature must be at least 30°C below the stress relief annealing temperature - Hardening from hot forming temperature for all classes: 840 to 860°C and cooling in oil or water; Tempering for class 1 at 550 to 600°C, for class 2 at 580 to 630°C and for class 3 at 600 to 650°C, holding period is => 6h and cooling in furnace or air.
