DIN 1.6342 Heat Treatments


  • Hardened at 860-950°C, cooled in air or quenched in oil or water
    Tempered at 600-700°C
    Stress relief annealed at 550-620°C. This temperature should be at least 30°C below the tempering temperature and should not exceed the upper limit of the temperature range indicated
