DIN 1.4821 Heat Treatments
- Quenching: Heated at 1000-1050°C, water quenched or air cooled.
- Solution annealing: 1000-1100°C, air or water cooling. Cooling to be sufficiently rapid. If heat treatment is carried out in a continuous furnace, the upper part of the range specified is usually preferred or even exceeded.
