Heat Treatments

  • <b>Annealing</b>: Heated at 750-850°C, air cooled or water quenched. Structure after heat treatment is ferrite.
  • Hot forming: 1100-800°C, air cooling; Annealing (+A): 1000-1050°C, air cooling. (If heat treatment is carried out in a continuous furnace, the upper part of the range specified should usually be preferred, or even exceeded)
