DIN 1.4003 Heat Treatments
- Annealing: Heated at 680-740°C, air cooled
Hardening or quenching: Heated at 900-950°C, water quenched or air cooled or oil quenched
Tempering: Heated at 600-650°C, air cooled - Hot forming: 1100 - 800°C, air cooling. Annealing: 700 - 750°C, air, water cooling.
