DIN 1.0481 Heat Treatments
- Hot forming at 1100 - 850°C. The temperature can drop to 750°C during processing. Normalizing at 880 - 910°C.
- Normalized (+N): 890-950°C, cooled in air.
Normalized and tempered (+NT) or Quenched and tempered (+QT): 890 to 950°C, cooled in air, oil, polymer or water and tempered at 600-640°C, cooled in air or furnace.
