CSN 42 2891 Heat Treatments

  • Hardening: Heating from 880 to 920°C, cool in the magnetic field of intensity min. 145 kA / m, a rate 1.5°C / s; Tempering at 570 to 590°C, delay 2-3 hours, cooling to 530-550°C, residence time 10 to 16 h; rate of heating and cooling and the time delay depends on the size and shape of the casting.
