CSN 42 2724 Heat Treatments

  • Normalizing at 850 to 890°C, cooling in air; Hardening at 840 to 880°C, cooling in oil; Tempering at 700 to 740°C, cooling in air, oil water; Annealing to lower tension at 670 to 710°C cooling in cooling in air, oil water. Temperature annealing for stress relief should be about 20-30°C lower than the actual temperature tempering.
