CSN 19 125 Heat Treatments
- Forging at 1050 to 800°C, slowly cool in the air or in the sand in the chilly spring.
Normalizing at 790 to 810°C, cooling in air.
Soft annealing at 680 to 710°C, several hours of warming (by piece size), usually 4 hours and slowly cooling in the oven.
Annealing to reduce stress at 600 to 650°C, 1 to 2 hours to warm up and slowly cool in the oven.
Hardening in water at 800 to 830°C, heating in a salt bath, dipping in a salt bath at 180°C.
