CSN 17 351 Heat Treatments
- Hot forming at 1100 to 900°C, air;
Annealing at 940 to 960°C, waiting for 1 hour, then cool quickly in the air. Before further processing except for cold forming, a delay of 8 hours at a temperature of max. 25°C must be included.
Hardening at 500 to 560°C, then water cooling. The temperature and time for the required strength should be tested (eg. for a strength of 1300 to 1350 MPa - 540°C, 20 min., water).
