CSN 17 134 Heat Treatments
- Forging at 1200 to 1000°C, it is recommended to heat to the highest temperature of 1200°C, calibration fittings can be made up to 900°C.
Normalization annealing at 1020 to 1060°C; The tubes are cooled in a quiet air; the temperature at the surface of the pipe must not be higher than 150°C before tempering.
Hardening at 1020 to 1060°C. The way of coolant cooling is determined by the supplier according to the cross section; the temperature on the surface of forgings must not be higher than 150°C when removed from the bath; large forgings, after pre-roughing, are soaked in oil.
Tempering at 700 to 780°C, large forgings cooler in the furnace, tubes in the air.
Annealing to reduce stress at 700 to 770°C, cool in the air or in the oven.
