CSN 16 431 Heat Treatments

  • Forging at 1180 to 800°C, for stamping can be forging temperature is increased to 1200°C;
    Normalizing at 860 to 880°C, cooling in air; during cooling to ensure that the temperature throughout the cross-section being less than 250°C;
    Hardening at 850 to 880°C,cooling in oil; during cooling ensure that the temperature over the cross section being less than 250°C;
    Tempering at 620 to 680, cooling in the furnace at the requirement of minimum tension;
