CSN 16 341 Heat Treatments
- Forging at 1100 to 850°C and cool in ashes.
Normalizing at 850 to 880°C.
Hardening at 810 to 850°C, cooling in oil or to about 10 mm diameter cooling air.
Tempering at 260 to 400°C, cooling in oil or in air.
Soft annealing at 680 to 720°C, cooling slowly in the oven.
