CSN 16 320 Heat Treatments


  • Forging at 1100 to 800°C, die from a temperature of 1150°C, forging cool slowly in the ashes.
    Normalizing at 840 to 870°C, cooling slowly in the air.
    Soft annealing at 630 to 670°C, delay at temperature for about 4h, slowly cooling in the furnace.
    Hardening at 820 to 860°C, cooling in oil.
    Tempering at 480 to 650°C.
