CSN 15 241 Heat Treatments
- Forging at 1150 to 850°C and cool slowly in ash.
Normalizing at 880 to 920°C.
Hardening in oil at 840 to 880°C (large forgings) or at 860 to 900°C.
Tempering at 550 to 650°C, large forgings, or in water at 180 to 230°C (.8) or 500 to 600°C (.7)
Soft annealing at 720 to 760°C and cool slowly.
