CSN 15 231 Heat Treatments
- Forging at 1150 to 800°C, cool slowly in the ashes.
Normalizing at 860 to 900°C, air cooling.
Hardening at 850 to 870°C, cooling in water or at 860 to 890°C and cooling in oil, thin pieces.
Tempering at 520 to 630°C, cooling water.
Soft annealing at 680 to 720°C, cooling in furnace.
