B.S. 2C Heat Treatments
- The heat treatment shall be either heat treatment No. 3 or heat treatment No. 4:
Heat treatment 3: Heat treated at 800 ± 25°C for 6-12h, air or furnace cooled.
Heat treatment 4: Heat treated at 800 ± 25°C for 6-12h, air or furnace cooled. Then, heat treated at 275 ± 25°C for 8-16h air or furnace cooled. This heat treatment is recommended where maximum resistance to repeated impact is required.
