B.S. S 152 Heat Treatments
- Material shall be supplied in one of the following conditions: 1) Softening (cooling in air): 720-760 C (min. 2 hours); 2) FHT - Final Heat treatment: a) Hardening: Pre-heating (equalizing): 650-700 C; Heating (quenching in oil): 1170 C; b) Tempering (cooling in air): 610 C (min. 2 hours) Tempering (cooling in air): 620-650 C (min. 2 hours)
