B.S. 401 S 45 Heat Treatments
- Harden in oil from a temperature of 1030-1060°C. Temper at a suitable temperature between 750°C and 850°C.
Stress-relieve by heating for 1–2h at a temperature within the range 700–850°C followed by air cooling.
