B.S. S 106 Heat Treatments
- Softening treatment: min.700°C; Final heat treatment - Hardening: heat at a temperature of 900 ±10°C, followed by cooling in oil, Tempering: heat uniformly at temperature of not less than 570°C, followed by cooling in air; Stabilizing treatment. Stabilizing treatment: heating at a temperature of not less than 510°C nor more than the tempering temperature.
