Generic Ti-48Al-2W-0.5Si Heat Treatments


  • Test sample A:

    Hipping: Heated at 1185°C at 172 MPa for 3h

    Heat treatment 1: Heated at 1302°C for 20h (argon), GFC (gas fan cooled).

    Heat treatment 2: Heated at 913°C for 4h (argon), GFC (gas fan cooled).

    Test sample B and C:

    Hipping: Heated at 1260°C at 172 MPa for 4h

    Heat treatment 1: Heated at 1302°C for 20h (argon), GFC (gas fan cooled).

    Heat treatment 2: Heated at 913°C for 4h (argon), GFC (gas fan cooled).

    Test sample D:

    Hipping: Heated at 1185°C at 150 MPa for 4h

    Heat treatment 1: Heated at 1300°C for 20h (argon), GFC (gas fan cooled).

    Heat treatment 2: Heated at 900°C for 4h (argon), GFC (gas fan cooled).

    Test sample E:

    Hipping: Heated at 1260°C at 172 MPa for 4h
