Heat Treatments

  • R: Complete annealing at 350 - 390°C for 4 - 8 hours. T: Water quenching (hot for complex castings) from 530 - 550°C after preheating of at least 12 hours for sand castings and 8 hours for permanent mould castings; A: Artificial ageing at 150 - 160 °C for 3 - 5 hours.
