Heat Treatments

  • Oil quenching: 830-880°C (1/2 hour), Tempering: 550-650°C (1 hour).
  • TC+TA - cold drawn and annealed to maximum hardness requirements P+TA - peeled and annealed to maximum hardness requirements G+TA - ground and annealed to maximum hardness requirements TC+TQ+TT - cold drawn and quenched + tempered P+TQ+TT - peeled and quenched + tempered. G+TQ+TT - ground and quenched + tempered. Hardening: 830-870°C (1/2 hour), water or oil quench; Tempering: 540-680°C (1 hour).
