Heat Treatments
- Normalizing: 880-920°C (1/2 hour); Water quenching: 860-900°C, Tempering: 550-660°C (1 hour).
- TC+TA - cold drawn and annealed to maximum hardness requirements. P+TA - peeled and annealed to maximum hardness requirements. G+TA - ground and annealed to maximum hardness requirements. TC+TN - cold drawn and normalized. P+TN - peeled and normalized. G+TN - ground and normalized. TC+TQ+TT - cold drawn and quenched + tempered. P+TQ+TT - peeled and quenched + tempered. G+TQ+TT - ground and quenched + tempered. Hardening: 860-900°C (1/2 hour), water quench; Tempering: 550-660°C (1 hour); Normalizing: 880-920°C.
