UNI 35CrMo4 Heat Treatments
- Forging: 850-1050°C; Queching: 840-860°C (duration of permanence at hardening must be sufficient so that the transformation of steel structure is complete in whole mass of arc rod the duration should not be less than 1/2 hr.), oil (temperature must be between 15-60°C); Tempering: 550-650°C, at least 1 hour. Jominy test piece hard: 850 +/-5°C (piece must always be normalized before the test). Soft annealing: 680-720°C; Normalizing 850-880°C.
- Hardened: 840-860°C / QC + Tempered: >=570°C.
