Heat Treatments

  • Blank hardening (cooling in oil): 880°C; End quench test: quench from 900°C Carburizing: 880-950°C; Core hardening: 860-900°C; Case hardening (cooling in oil): 800-840°C; Tempering: 150-200°C (as a guide, for 1 hour minimum)
  • Carburizing at 880 - 980°C. Core-hardening at 860 - 900°C, case hardening at 780 - 820°C, quenching. Tempering at 150 - 200°C.
