DIN 1.7379 Heat Treatments
- Quenching and tempering:
Strength level I: Austenitized at 920-980°C, quenched in fluid, tempered at 630-680°C
Strength level II: Austenitized at 920-980°C, quenched in fluid, tempered at 580-630°C
The temperature for the stress relief heat treatment should be at least 20°C, but at most 50°C below the applied tempering temperature of the casting - Hardening: 930-980°C; Tempering: 680-740°C; Stress relieving: min. 660°C
