Heat Treatments
- Carbonitrided: 900-925°C, cooling in water or caustic; reheat: 790°C, cooling in water or caustic (3% sidium hydroxide); Carbonitrided: 790-900°C, cooling in oil; temper: 120-205°C.
- Class A bars shall be cold drawn using normal drafting practises. After cold drawing, the bars shall be stress relieved at a temperature of not less than 288°C.
